Photographer’s Notes
The brilliant pink and orange clouds seen after sunset are caused by afterglow, which occurs when sunlight reflects off high-altitude clouds and atmospheric particles after the sun drops below the horizon. I still don't understand it -- I just wait for it eagerly.
